Fireside Collective

They look like bluegrass. Flat-pick, banjo, mando, resonator, doghouse bass. Sweet, soaring harmonies.

Fireside Collective - coming to Bartlett Arboretum in Belle Plaine this Sunday - even sounds bluegrass. Sometimes. Just not all the time. How about a little funk? Folk. Blues. In fact, this hot, award-winning quintet specializes in defying labels, concentrating instead on bringing five strong, original voices and instruments to a wide range of music.

The group, recently nominated as IBMA's Emerging Artists of the Year, incubated in the fertile roots music scene of Asheville, North Carolina, and has been on a roll and on the road since releasing its debut album in 2016. They immediately won the 2016 Merlefest band contest. Earned a nomination for International Bluegrass Music Association Momentum Band of the Year and receive enthusiastic receptions from every type of audience.

Their music has been described as exuberant. That’s how you’ll feel when you come out to the show. See you there.
